Dr. R.N. Iyengar, in this talk, discusses in detail the‘Narada Silpasastra’ that is Ancient Architectural text. In this talk he explains the Vastu and the Silpa used in ancient times and how the architectural plan included the Elements of nature Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Space. He also talks in detail about the Sthapadya Veda that includes City planning (roads, water resources, residences, building types, materials used), Country planning, Construction of Dams, Galleries, Theatres, Sculpting, Metal casting and all aspects of Civil engineering and Architecture. It is indeed a very interesting and impressive study of Ancient Silpasastra.
