Learn about casteism and how it came about in India. People have the wrong idea about casteism in India, in that it originated casteism because it has been around for longer than Christianity came about. Really, casteism is an import from EUROPEAN countries because historical social stratification has always been present in Christian countries. That is where casteism came from. Europeans merely took what is their own social structure and applied it initially to get a census count of the different kinds of people in India.
